GREAT FIND!

While researching about vegan sweeteners I stumbled upon this native sweetener, it's called tinaklob, inuyat or matamis na bao. It's made by melting raw sugar (muscovado) in coconut milk and then letting it cool in coconut shells hence the shape. It is really inexpensive at 17Php a pair, you just chop it in chunks and keep the rest in airtight containers. You can melt it by adding water to the consistency of your liking, use it to sweeten your drinks and desserts it's nutty taste lends a tropical flavor to sauces or dressings. and best of all it's VEGAN!
